Biography

Ronni is a clarinetist/multi-woodwind player and music instructor born and raised in New England and has been a private instructor since 2011. She holds a Bachelor of Music in Clarinet Performance and Music Education from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where she studied with Kai-Yun Lu of the Boston Symphony Orchestra and Boston Pops, as well as Michael Sussman of the Springfield Symphony Orchestra and former graduate of The Juilliard School.

As an active performer, Ronni has appeared regularly throughout New England in a wide range of musical settings. She was a clarinetist with the Tuba Frau Hofbrau Band, performing traditional German polka music at festivals and events across the region, and was also a clarinetist with the Lakes Region Symphony Orchestra of New Hampshire. She served as the primary multi-woodwindist in several theater venues such as the The Worcester County Light Orchestra, The Brick Box Theatre, The Hanover Theatre, and The Concord Players in Massachusetts.

Her teaching philosophy is rooted in student-centered, individualized instruction that meets each student where they are in their musical development. A positive teacher-student relationship where students trust a teacher’s guidance enables them to feel empowered to grow into confident, expressive musicians. She believes private lessons are most effective when students feel heard and supported, allowing them to take ownership of their goals and progress. By building a strong foundation in technique while encouraging challenge and exploration, students develop confidence in both the learning process and their abilities as musicians.
